The Asociación Española de Empresas de Amarre (AEEA) (Spanish Boatmen´s Association) was created in 1991 under the name of Asociación Española de Amarradores. Since its incorporation, it is the only Association that brings together the mooring sector companies in Spain and also the port activity of the boatmen. Currently, it is made up by 28 associated companies, which means we have members virtually in all the ports of state interest, representing more than 600 boatmen.
The Association is a member of both the European Boatmen´s Association (EBA), based in Antwerp, and the International Boatmen´s Linesmen´s Association (IBLA), based in Rome. It is also present in numerous national and international forums and has representatives in a wide variety of Navigation Councils.
The aims of the Association are the co-ordination among the different companies, particularly the defence of the ship mooring sector and technical-nautical services in general, its main concerns being the training and qualification of boatmen, maritime safety and, ultimately, professionalization and the highest standards in service performance.
The AEEA is an entity that is ultimately at the service of all its members, their clients, but also of the Port Community and the Administration in general, regarding which, over the years, it has become a key interlocutor.
